How is the Cure Cancer Project Different?

The Cure Cancer Project is based on a new way of thinking about cancer that addresses the fundamental problem of tumor cell evolution.

Our approach applies to all cancer cells regardless of the underlying genetic chaos.

The problem:

  • Cancer is an enormously diverse, unpredictable evolutionary process driven by random genetic alterations.
  • Tumor cell evolution generates a population of genetically diverse cancer cells within a patient of nearly unlimited complexity, causes drug resistance and progressive disease.
  • We generally do not know all that has evolved in a patient with cancer and cannot know what will evolve.
  • Past and current approaches to cancer do not adequately address the fundamental problem of tumor cell evolution.

The required solution:

  • Target and destroy all cancer cells that could evolve.
  • The Cure Cancer Project plans to address the requirements for the specific destruction of all cancer cells that could evolve. We will develop a curative set of drugs that target stable, nonrandom properties of all cancer cells.
